though none of the pundits had Bowling Green basketball squad going deep in the state tournament, the Purples defied expectations and put together a run for the ages. Though down late in multiple games they refused to quit and willed themselves into the championship game. They fought, scratched and clawed til the very last moment of the 2025 Sweet 16, and the trophy they hoisted at the end of the night was well earned.
