Georgetown College women’s basketball finished off a rough road stretch with a 91-53 setback to Cam Jam Tournament host College of the Ozarks. The Lady Bobcats used a 17-2 run to end the first quarter and put the game away.
After CofO started on a 5-0 run, Georgetown battled back and eventually made it a two point affair twice, 12-10 and 14-12. However, it was all Lady Bobcats from there. They used a 12-0 spurt to break it wide open before a Georgetown timeout. The Tigers (4-11) came out of the break for a two, but another 5-0 run finished off the quarter. The host team led by 17 at that point and it never got closer.
Shelby Beam led GC with 16 points. Kennedy Flynn chipped in with 11 and Shakela Smith added 10 points.
Georgetown is back in action 2 pm Monday hosting Mid-South Conference foe Life University.
