Kentucky State University track and field will continue the indoor season with the Ed Temple Classic at Tennessee State University on Sunday.
In the first meet of the season on Dec. 3, Dante Johnson a junior transfer from Lindsey Wilson College made an immediate impact on his new team. In the men’s 60-meter hurdles finished a personal record 8.13 in the final heat, qualifying him for nationals.
KSU will keep in four other indoor meets, leading up to the NCAA Division II Indoor National in Birmingham, Alabama in early March. According to Johnson, learning under his new head coach Torri Edwards has helped him make strides in becoming a more well-rounded track athlete and hurdler.
