The University of Louisville women’s basketball team is poised to make its 20th NCAA Tournament appearance in school history after accumulating more than 20 wins for the seventh-consecutive season.
Fans are encouraged to join the program at The Sports and Social Club and watch the NCAA Selection Show, which starts at 7 p.m., on ESPN on Monday, March 13. Admission to the venue on 4th Street is free, and doors open at 6 p.m. A limited food menu is available.
Free parking is available at the 4th Street Live! garage (access from 5th Street). Reservations are highly recommended and must be made through Tobi Hammond (tobi@4thstedc.com). Additional space is available upstairs at Tavern for standing room only, accompanied by a full-service bar.
Louisville has 19 tournament appearances all-time, six straight under head coach Jeff Walz. This year, the Cardinals put together a 27-7 mark, tied for the fourth-most victories in school history, including a 12-4 record in league play.
The Cardinals, who are in position to host the NCAA Tournament first and second rounds, have compiled a 16-2 mark at the KFC Yum! Center this year.
