EKU MTEN Falls at Southern Illinois 7-0

Eastern Kentucky University’s men’s tennis team suffered a 7-0 non-conference loss at Southern Illinois University on Saturday.

The Salukis improved to 14-2 on the season while the Colonels stand at 12-6.

Ramon van Flymen and Diego Asis came up just short of a win at No. 2 doubles for Eastern Kentucky, falling 6-4. Jan Kuehling kept it close at No. 4 singles against Alex Pozo, falling 6-4 and 6-4.

EKU gets back into Ohio Valley Conference play at home next weekend when it host Jacksonville State on Friday at 10 a.m. and Tennessee Tech on Saturday at 11 a.m.
