The most valuable player in the state of Kentucky this season was Meade County guard James Baker. Today via twitter he committed to Preston Spradlin and the Morehead State Eagles.
Baker a 6’7 guard transferred to Meade County before his junior season from Louisville Doss. Baker proved he was the most valuable player in the state this season. Meade Count started out 8-1 this season before an injury sidelined Baker. The Green Wave lost 19 of 20 games in his absence but as he returned for the 11th district tournament, Meade County was able to get back to their winning ways and claim a 3rd region championship. Baker averaged 16 points per game this season while handling the ball the majority of the time and grabbing 7 rebounds per game.
