EKU Track & Field Completes Final OVC Tuneup at Kentucky Relays

The Eastern Kentucky University track and field team completed its final OVC tune-up at the Kentucky Relays on Saturday at the UK Outdoor Track & Field Complex.

Juniors Haley Yost and Isaac Lee highlighted the meet for the Colonels.

Yost won the women’s 800 meters with a personal-best time of 2:10.3. That time currently ranks No. 4 in the OVC.

Lee, meanwhile, won the men’s 400-meter hurdles with a season-best time of 53.44. That time currently ranks No. 2 in the OVC.

Junior All-American Charlotte Imer also won on Saturday, taking first in the women’s 1,500 meters with a time of 4:26.3.

Other notable performances from the meet included senior Megan Kiely taking fourth in the women’s 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:02.9 and freshman Jacob Alleyne placing second in the men’s long jump with a leap of 22-4.5 (No. 10 in the OVC).

The track and field team will compete at the OVC Outdoor Championships May 11-13 in Oxford, Alabama.
