Things couldn’t be any better for Zion Harmon right now. After winning a state basketball title with Bowling Green High School as an 8th grader averaging 16.8 points points per game, his outstanding play during the start of the AAU basketball season with Boo Williams has earned him an invite to try out for the USA Basketball U16 national squad. He is the youngest to ever get that honor and one of only 32 ballers to get the invite. Playing beyond his years is nothing new for Zion as he was the first seventh grader to play in the 17U division of the Nike EYBL.
Though the final roster hasn’t been named yet, Harmon is one of the 16 finalists that will eventually get cut down to just 12.
The Team USA will play June 14-18 in FIBA Americas U16 Championship for Men taking place in Argentina
