Kentucky State University men’s basketball announced the signing of 6 foot 5 guard Mike Stevenson to its 2017 recruiting class on Friday afternoon.
Stevenson, a resident of Houston, Texas and a graduate of Cypress Ranch High School, recently played at the California University of Pennsylvania and saw time in seven games as a junior during the 2016-17 season. He spent the previous two seasons at Allegany College of Maryland where he made an immediate impact.
During his freshman campaign, Stevenson averaged 14 points and eight rebounds per game for the Trojans and followed it up by averaging a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds per game his sophomore season.
Stevenson will have one year of eligibility once he arrives on campus in the fall.
