Troy Steward came off the bench to hit six threes and lead the No. 4 Georgetown Tigers (7-0) over No. 25 Martin Methodist. Georgetown College men’s basketball had three double-digit scorers on its way to a 76-56 victory Friday evening. It was day two of the Mid-South Conference-Southern States Athletic Conference Crossover Challenge. GC finishes the tournament up with an 11 am Saturday tip against Brewton-Parker College (1-5).
Shadell Millinghaus added 17 points, while Quan Poindexter chipped in with 16.
University of Pikeville and Campbellsville University also won Friday, making the MSC a perfect 6-0 in this challenge thus far.
UPike plays MMC at 1 pm Saturday, while Campbellsville and Bethel close it out at 3 pm.
