Murray State Football’s Woods, Foster To Play In All-Star Games

Murray State football seniors Bishop Woods and Isaiah Foster have each accepted invitations to play in postseason all-star games.

Woods, a defensive lineman from Atlanta, Georgia, will play in the Dec. 10 FCS National Bowl at Daytona Beach Stadium in Daytona Beach, Florida. Meanwhile, Foster, a defensive back from Pacoima, California, will play in the Dec. 16 D1 FCS Senior Scout Bowl at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Woods finished second on the team in tackles in 2017 with 66, 29 of which were unassisted. He also notched MSU’s third-most tackle-for-loss at 7.5 and second-most quarterback hurries at four. In addition, he added two pass breakups and a 0.5 sacks.

Foster finished the season with 13 solo tackles and 29 tackles total. He also racked up 2.0 tackles for loss and 1.0 sacks on the season.

Woods and Foster now make four total Racers taking part in post season all-star games joining Senior Bowl selection D’Montre Wade and Jordon Gandy, who will play in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl.
