Eastern Kentucky UniversityEastern Kentucky University punter Keith Wrzuszczak was selected to the prestigious 2017 American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Football Championship Subdivision Coaches’ All-America First Team, the organization announced on Wednesday.

This is the third organization to recognize Wrzuszczak as an All-American. He was previously chosen to the 2017 STATS FCS All-America Second Team and the 2017 Phil Steele FCS All-America Fourth Team.

Eastern Kentucky holds the record for the longest streak of having at least one player named to the AFCA FCS Coaches’ All-America Team, doing so in 15 straight seasons (1979-93). Wrzuszczak is the first Colonel to be chosen as an AFCA All-American since 2007 when defensive back Derrick Huff was honored by the organization.

EKU has the third-most AFCA All-America selections among all FCS schools, with 27 selections by 25 different players.
