WHAT TO KNOW

– EKU (8-16, 2-9 OVC) fell to first-place Belmont, 98-63, on Thursday night.

– Nick Mayo led EKU in points (15) and rebounds (six) vs. Belmont on Thursday. The junior eclipsed 1,400 points for his career in the process. Mayo also enters Saturday five blocks shy of tying the EKU career record (115).

– EKU was a perfect 9-of-9 from the free throw line on Thursday and the Colonels, once again, lead the OVC in foul shooting (75.6%).

– Sophomore DeAndre Dishman ranks second in the OVC in field goal percentage (57.9%).

– Senior Dillon Avare broke out of an 0-of-13 three-point shooting slump by draining 4-of-7 from beyond the arc on Thursday. He finished with a season-high 12 points and now needs only four three-pointers to reach 100 for his career.

– With Jackson Davis (out for the season) and Dujuanta Weaver not playing, the short-handed Colonels used their 15th different starting lineup of the season on Thursday night.
