Eastern Kentucky University junior Tre King has been voted the Ohio Valley Conference Co-Player of the Week for men’s basketball, the league announced on Monday.
King averaged 20.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.5 steals, 2.0 assists and 1.5 blocks-per-game last week.
The 6-9 forward from Lexington recorded his third double-double of the season in Thursday’s win over CU Harrodsburg, bruising the Pioneers for 24 points, 12 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and two steals.
On Monday at Morehead State, King recorded 17 points, three steals and three boards.
He shot 58 percent (18-of-31) from the field for the week.
King is now averaging 16.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.9 steals and 1.0 blocks-per-game this season.
This is the second time this season King has earned OVC Player of the Week honors.
He shares this week’s honor with Belmont forward Nick Muszynski.
King and the Colonels return to action on Tuesday when they welcome High Point to McBrayer Arena for a 7 p.m. showdown.
