🏀 Louisville Cardinals WBB Guard Van Lith Named to 2023 Ann Meyers Drysdale Award Top 10 List

University of Louisville guard Hailey Van Lith has been named to the 2023 Ann Meyers Drysdale Award Top 10 list, announced by the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame and the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA). This is the second watch list that Van Lith has been named to this week as she was named to the Wooden Award Late Season Top 20 List on Monday.

Van Lith has been a standout player for the Cardinals this season, leading the team with 19.3 points per game and 3.5 assists per game. She ranks 11th nationally in points (441) and field goals made (161) and is 18th in minutes per game (36.5). She is also second in the ACC and 24th nationally in points per game. In conference games this season, Van Lith has scored 18 or more points in eight ACC games and 20 or more points in seven ACC games, marks that no other player in the conference has reached.

The 2023 Ann Meyers Drysdale Award Top 10 list also includes Keishana Washington from Drexel, Diamond Miller from Maryland, Antwainette Walker from Eastern Kentucky, Taylor Mikesell from Ohio State, Ta’Niya Latson from Florida State, Zia Cooke from South Carolina, Gabby Gregory from Kansas State, Charisma Osborne from UCLA, Charlisse Leger-Walker from Washington State.

Starting February 3, fans can participate in Fan Voting on hoophallawards.com to support their favorite players. The Fan Vote will count as one committee vote during the finalist selection process. In March, five finalists will be presented to Meyers Drysdale and the Hall of Fame’s selection committee, with the winner to be announced at a later date.

Hailey Van Lith is poised to join the ranks of previous Ann Meyers Drysdale Award winners such as Christyn Williams, Ashley Owusu, Aari McDonald, Asia Durr, and Victoria Vivians.
