The University of Louisville men’s golf team ended the Sea Best Invitational at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, with a fourth-place finish. The Cardinals shot an even-par 280 in the final round to close the tournament at 16-over-par with a score of 285-291-280=856, just two shots behind Liberty who placed third.
Max Kennedy, a native of Dublin, Ireland, had a standout performance for the Cardinals, posting his best finish of the season by finishing in a tie for fifth place. Kennedy shot 68-72-67=207, just three shots off the lead, and played a bogey-free round with three birdies in the final round.
Sophomore Sebastian Moss had a solid performance, shooting an even-par 70 in the third round to place in a tie for 17th place with a final score of 3-over-par at 71-72-70=213. Jiri Zuska also had a strong final round, shooting a 69 to end the tournament in a tie for 42nd place with a score of 73-75-69=217.
Mads Roddik finished in a tie for 42nd place after shooting 73-73-75=221, and Andrew Tan rounded out the top five by finishing in a tie for 55th place with a score of 77-74-74=225. Jackson Brimfield registered a final round of 71 to close the tournament in 74th place with a score of 237.
The Cardinals will look to continue their strong play when they return to the course on February 20-22 at Prestige in LaQuinta, California.
