Murray State WGOLF Eliza Mae Kho Fires Career-Low Round in Atlantic Invitational

Murray State women’s golf senior Eliza Mae Kho had an outstanding performance in the first round of the Atlantic Invitational held in Boynton Beach, Florida on Monday. Kho, playing the course at Indian Spring Country Club, shot a career-low round of 68, including three birdies and an eagle, finishing with a 3-under-par. This round was Kho’s best as a Racer, topping her previous record of 72 at the USA Intercollegiate in Mobile, Alabama in 2019. Kho’s impressive performance was followed by a 1-under-par 71 in the afternoon’s second round, giving her a total score of 138 (4-under-par) and a share of fourth place, only three shots from leaders Letizia Bagnoli and Lousiane Gauthier from Florida Atlantic, each at 135.

Murray State’s Payton Carter also had a strong showing in the tournament, placing 11th with scores of 70-71=141 (1-under-par). As a team, the Racers finished in ninth place on rounds of 291-290=581.

The Atlantic Invitational will conclude with the final round on Tuesday morning in Boynton Beach. The Racers will look to build on their solid start and continue their strong performances in the remaining rounds.
