Trey Lewis Shines at Wright State Invitational, Murray State MGOLF Finishes Seventh

The Murray State men’s golf team wrapped up their performance at the Wright State Invitational in Springboro, Ohio, highlighted by a career event for Trey Lewis. Competing at the Heatherwoode Country Club, Lewis delivered his best performance as a Racer, earning a 10th place finish among 43 competitors with rounds of 80-74-73=227.

Overall, the Racers registered a score line of 308-310-308=926, securing a spot in seventh place. They managed to stay ahead of Eastern Illinois (936) and Detroit Mercy (939) in the rankings.

The host team, Wright State, emerged victorious with a total score of 882. The top five positions were rounded out by Cleveland State (900), Southern Indiana (916), Robert Morris (918), and Ohio Dominican (918).

With the Wright State Invitational behind them, the Murray State men’s golf team is now setting its sights on the Missouri Valley Conference Championship. The championship will take place in Moline, Illinois, next Sunday at the Oakwood Country Club. The Racers will be looking to build on their recent performance and showcase their skills in the upcoming event.
