Murray State Racers women’s basketball head coach, Rechelle Turner, proudly announces the addition of Braxcynn Baker to the team as the final signee of the 2024 recruiting class.
Hailing from Lowell, Michigan, the 5’11” guard brings a formidable skill set and a remarkable record from her high school playing days with the Lowell High School Red Arrows. Baker has etched her name in the record books, holding the titles for single-game and single-season scoring with impressive figures of 39 and 551, respectively. Additionally, she boasts the coveted position of career points leader for the Lowell High School Red Arrows, solidifying her status as a prolific scorer.
Coach Turner expresses her enthusiasm for having Baker on the team, describing her as a “remarkably gifted scorer” with exceptional basketball skills. Baker’s ability to shoot with elite range and precision sets her apart, making her a valuable asset for the Racers. Turner notes that Baker is not only a fierce competitor with a winning mentality but also a player willing to contribute defensively, on the boards, and in pursuing loose balls.
