In a standout recognition of both athletic prowess and academic excellence, Masha Fedenko and Emmeline Polevoi have been selected to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Women’s Tennis Team.
Fedenko’s Stellar Season
Masha Fedenko, hailing from Dnipro, Ukraine, is making waves not only on the court but also in the classroom. With a 3.47 GPA as a sport management major, Fedenko’s dedication to her studies is as impressive as her athletic achievements. On the tennis court, she demonstrated her skill by winning 10 singles matches from the top position and securing four doubles victories from the top two spots in the lineup. Notably, Fedenko enjoyed a four-match winning streak in singles play from February 4 to February 16, showcasing her consistency and competitive edge.
Polevoi’s Impressive Performance
Emmeline Polevoi, a general business major with a 3.75 GPA, has been equally impressive. The Cologne, Germany native tied for the team-high with 12 singles wins, displaying versatility by securing victories from multiple positions in the lineup. Polevoi also contributed significantly in doubles, winning eight matches from the top two courts. Her season started with a bang, achieving a 6-1 singles record, highlighted by a notable victory over Louisville’s Berta Miret on January 20.

Both Fedenko and Polevoi exemplify the balance of academic rigor and athletic excellence.
