🚨 COV CATH’S ELITE SHARPSHOOTER! 🚨
Before he even stepped onto the legendary Rupp Arena floor, Covington Catholic’s junior guard Braeden Myrick had already put together a massive season, helping lead his squad to an incredible 31-3 overall record and a highly coveted 9th Region Championship. He averaged 17 points and 2.8 rebounds a game, while shooting 87% from the line! 🏆🔥
Once the bright lights of the Sweet 16 turned on against the eventual state runner-up, St. Xavier, Braeden showed exactly why he’s a player to watch. Going head-to-head with a suffocating defense, Myrick put the offense on his back, pouring in a team-high 19 points, draining four 3-pointers, and going a perfect 3-for-3 from the charity stripe.
But he didn’t just get it done on offense, he was an absolute menace on the other side of the ball, racking up 4 steals and dishing out 2 assists.
And the craziest part? He was an absolute IRONMAN, never coming off the floor and battling for the full 32 minutes of the grueling first-round fight! 🔋😤
Heading into his senior season next year, Myrick is going to be a problem for the rest of the state. 💯
