The University of Louisville women’s golf team returns to action at the inaugural multi-team tournament – the Cavalier Match Play – at Birdwood Golf Course on Tuesday (April 6) and Wednesday (April 7).
Teams tee off starting at 7:45 a.m. both days with Tuesday’s afternoon’s second round scheduled to start at 12:30 p.m.
The eight-team field includes Duke (2), Virginia (12), Virginia Tech (14), Maryland (20), Louisville (48), North Carolina (52), NC State (92) and Richmond (129).
The fifth-seeded Cardinals will face fourth seed Maryland Tuesday morning starting at 8:25 a.m. Louisville will play its afternoon match starting at either 12:15 p.m. or 1:30 p.m. depending on the morning outcome.
The Cardinals’ lineup features Lauren Hartlage, Hana Ryskova, Margot Bechadergue, Mairead Martin, and Molly Lyne. Ryskova will open up play on Tuesday morning at 8:25 a.m.
There will also be an individual bracket (seeded by Golfstat rankings) that features Wake Forest’s Lauren Walsh, (11), Duke’s Phoebe Brinker (16), South Carolina’s Lois Kay Go (31), Wake Forest’s Mimi Rhodes (53), South Carolina’s Mathilde Claisse (157), Wake Forest’s Vanessa Knecht (NR) and Virginia’s Sky Sload (NR) and Claire Hodges (NR).
