Eastern Kentucky University soccer head coach Matt Cosinuke announced the signing of nine players on Thursday.

The nine new Colonels are Carmen Combs, Nerea de Diego, Hope Evans, Gretta Gunn, Sabrina Hinz, Tiatianna Jones, Marah Krick, Lucy Ream and Claire Siler.

“This class embodies what we strive for in recruiting – talent, speed and, most importantly, a strong mentality,” Cosinuke said. “This is a special group of young women. They believe in the direction of our program and want to help us achieve our goal of the first NCAA Tournament berth EKU soccer history. When you think about current makeup of this team, with the addition of these new family members, you can’t help but get a little excited. From Lexington to Castro Urdiales, we have searched the globe for the right people to keep this family moving forward. We can’t wait to see them in Richmond. Go Big E!”
