Campbellsville traveled to Bethlehem  on homecoming night looking for their first win. The game was selected by Bluegrass cellular as one of four rivalry games this season and each schools Athletic Director received $250 for each school.
Bethlehem was favored but Campbellsville’s young team dominated the run game. Untimely penalties and turnovers killed drives in the red zone keeping them off the board. Bethlehem managed to score twice in the second making it 14-0 at the half.
In the third Bethlehem striked again but Campbellsville finally got on the board with a rushing TD. Score was 21-7 going into the fourth quarter. Bethlehem scored again but a blocked pat made it 27-7. Then Campbellsville answered with a score of its own making it 27-14. With the cock winding down Bethlehem scored on a long TD pass. Campbellsville was able to block the pat again making the score 33-14. Cambellsville’s defense held Bethlehem to a 3 and out and blocked a piling deep into Bethlehem’s territory. They eventually scored making it 33-21. With a failed onside kick Bethlehem was able to run out the clock.
Campbellsville hasn’t won a game but they are a young team that is getting better. Penalties and turnovers killed the chance of an upset.
Bethlehem keeps their winning streak alive and look to keep it going.
