ICE COLD CATS: Kentucky To Play In 2014 Title Game

Some men have that  it factor and some don’t. Even if those men have the same DNA and that theory was put on display Saturday night in Dallas as the Kentucky Wildcats defeated Wisconsin to advance to the NCAA title game.

Aaron Harrison for the third straight game drained the game winning shot to will the young Cats to he 2014 title game Like it was his destiny. His twin brother, Andrew had seemed to lose confidence and composure in the final minutes of the game and Aaron picked his brother up in one of the greatest games the NCAA Final Four history.

In the ESPN classic Andrew  fouled senior point guard Traevon Jackson on a 3 point attempt with 15.6 seconds remaining with the contest and 1 second on the shot clock with the game tied at 71. Jackson who was 27 for 29 from the line in the tourney hit two out of three and put the Badgers up 73-71.

Without calling a timeout the Ice Cold Cats came down the floor looking to keep their dream alive. As Andrew had a look in the corner he passed the rock to his brother who was nearly out-of-bounds.

Aaron took a few dribbles and while looking the defender straight in the eyes pulled up from deep and drained a 3 point shot to put the Cats on top 74-73 with 5.7 remaining in the classic battle.

Harrison’s shot will likely go down in Kentucky history if the Cats win their ninth championship Monday night and definitely one of the greatest and ice cold buckets in March Madness history.

Coincidentally that was the only 3 points Aaron scored in the second half. I can’t yet compare him to Jordan but Harrison has kept the Cats moving along with game after game winning shots. The only way I can describe Harrison is that he’s an “ice cold killer” ready to strike when needed.

Aaron and the other four freshman Wildcats take on Uconn Monday night at 9:10 pm for the NCAA Championship.

Kentucky last won the title in 2012 and Uconn in 2011 after Kemba Walker broke the Big Blue Nation’s heart in the semis and went on to beat Brad Stephens Butler team.

Look for the game to be a heart stopping, nerve racking, edge of your seat game as both teams are hot at the right time..
