Strengths: explosive, gets to rim easily and finishes well,great instincts, moves well without the ball, reads defense well, High basketball IQ and motor. Great pick and roll player. Unselfish and reads help side defense well. Nice euro step, gets anywhere he wants on the floor due to great vision. Excellent on ball defender as well as help side defender. Great in transition due to spacing, and finishing or giving up the ball.Protects ball well. Slasher and can go to left and right. Unselfish. Plays well playing up in 17U. Had 12 points, 2 steals, 2 deflections, and 2 forced turnovers in 1st game. Always in control. Doesn’t force bad shots. Efficient. Great kid. Humble. No trash talk. Lets game talk for him. Great work ethic.
Needs Work: Better Ball handling, consistent jumper, get stronger to finish and convert and 1 opportunities,conditioning. FT work. Not a bad stroke, conditioning would help along with concentration.3 point shooting, Jab step, pick and pop from screens, read ball screens better, stay big when screening, get lower coming off screens.
Prediction: Wade will be a kid to look out for this season in KY. His game will only get better and more rounded if he chooses to put the work in. He had a great Sophomore year and he could rise to the top of the class. Definitely think Wade has the potential to go D2 and if he puts in the work and can rise to low/mid D1 with his work ethic.
