UK Women’s Soccer Announces Inaugural Fan Day

The University of Kentucky soccer program has announced that for the first time in program history, the teams will be holding a Fan Day to celebrate the start of the 2016 soccer season at the world-class Wendell & Vickie Bell Soccer Complex.
The event will be held on Saturday, Aug. 13 with gates to the stadium opening at 3:30 p.m. ET. Fans will have an opportunity to purchase their 2016 season ticket scarves, meet and greet both the men’s and women’s soccer teams, get autographs from their favorite Wildcat players, get a photo taken with players and coaches, watch a soccer skill challenge, and enjoy free pizza and drinks compliments of UK Athletics.
Following the Fan Day experience, the UK women’s soccer team will be playing their only exhibition of the season against the Pittsburgh Panthers at 7 p.m. ET that night at The Bell. Admission will be free with no television or streaming coverage of the match.
UK’s men’s soccer program is coming off of a 2015 Conference USA regular season championship and will look to go back-to-back in 2016 with the women’s team looking to make it five NCAA Tournament appearances in the last six seasons.
Fans will have their best chance to hear from players and coaches what to expect on the pitch for 2016 and do it free of charge at the best stadium for college soccer in the country.
