Beat the Cold – Heat up at a Kentucky Wesleyan Basketball Watch Party!

The Kentucky Wesleyan College Department of Athletics invites all parents, alumni and fans to two upcoming watch parties this week as the basketball team’s open up play in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference. Thursday’s watch party for the game at Ohio Valley will be hosted by Buffalo Wild Wings while Saturday’s watch party will be held at CYO Brewing Co. as the Panthers head to Cedarville.

Ohio Valley has stumbled to a 0-9 start this season with their most recent loss coming from Ferris State University. The Fighting Scots have been outscored by an average of 37.3 points per game. Forward Avery Williams leads the team with 18.0 points per game while guard Kyle Davis has dished out 3.4 assists per game. Aleksandar Djordjevic averages 6.3 boards per game followed by Williams with 6.0.

Cedarville started the season at 5-4, but a three game losing streak puts the Yellow Jackets at 5-7. They’re averaging 74.8 points per game and have outscored their opponents 448 to 445 in the first half. The Yellow Jackets are led by J.C. Faubion and Patrick Bain who average 14.3 and 13.8 points per game respectively. Faubion also leads the team with 3.8 assists per game while Robert Okoro leads the way with 5.2 rebounds per game.

Kentucky Wesleyan extended its winning streak to nine this past weekend to improve to 10-2. The Panthers won their last game in exciting fashion, 80-78, as Michigan Tech scored a three-pointer on the final possession of the game, but it was ruled one-second too late. Senior guard Ken-Jah Bosley continued his climb in the record book as he claimed sole possession of fourth all-time with 182 career three-pointers. The Panthers have averaged 87.4 points per game while holding a 15.3 scoring margin over their opponents. Bosley leads the team with 18.2 points per game, closely followed by Jordan Jacks with 17.3. Jacks leads the team with 7.5 rebounds per game.

Watch Parties are the place to be when fans aren’t able to travel to the road games. The selected restaurant will host watch parties for every Panthers away game, during the regular season. The host of each watch party event will provide appetizers and will give back 10% of the day’s sales to support the Kentucky Wesleyan athletic department through the Panther Athletic Fund.
