Join WKU Volleyball for the Annual Banquet on Feb. 10

Coming off of a 2016 campaign for the record books, the WKU volleyball program is excited to extend an opportunity to the public to join the team at its annual banquet on Friday, Feb. 10. Festivities are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. CT inside the Jack and Jackie Harbaugh Stadium Club within L.T. Smith Stadium.

A buffet dinner will kick-off the evening at 7 p.m. followed by a program to recognize the 2016 student-athletes and season. The cost of the banquet is just $20 per person. Additionally, WKU Volleyball supporters have the option of sponsoring the players’ meals as well. Any additional funds will go directly to the Lady Topper program.

Anyone interested in attending this special event is asked to RSVP by emailing Assistant Coach Kristi Griffin at Kristi.griffin@wku.edu. The deadline to reserve a spot at this year’s WKU Volleyball awards banquet is Friday, Feb. 3, at 4 p.m. CT.

Payment for individuals attending the banquet can be mailed to WKU Volleyball at 1605 Avenue of Champions Bowling Green, KY 42101. Checks should be made out to WKU Volleyball. All payments must be received prior to the banquet.

To recap, WKU Volleyball produced its 15th-straight 25-win season in 2016 while stretching its 30-win season streak to three-consecutive campaigns with a 30-3 record. The Lady Toppers secured their sixth-straight regular-season conference championship with an unblemished 14-0 record in Conference USA action and remained perfect by winning the C-USA Tournament for the third-straight year as well. The tournament championship marked the Red and White’s 10th NCAA Tournament appearance since 2002 and the sixth appearance in the past seven seasons.

The 2016 WKU Volleyball season is being presented by the United States Marines. This season, the Marines and WKU Athletics are working together to promote the outstanding athletic and academic achievements of our female student-athletes. The Marines are proud to work with and support these future leaders of America.
