Seniors Katelyn Drake, Kaitlin Oshiro, and Tyniesha Wilson were awarded All-Conference honors, as announced by the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference offices on Wednesday.
All-conference honors are voted on by the league’s head coaches and sports information directors.
Drake was selected to the All-Conference first team at third base. Drake started every SIAC contest for the Thorobrettes in the hot corner, solidifying the cleanup spot. Drake hit .321 on the season and accumulated a fielding percentage of .930, committing just three errors on the year.
Oshiro was appointed second team honors as a utility player. She batted a team-high .452 against SIAC opponents in 15 games. Oshiro also recorded a .989 fielding percentage splitting time between first base and catching.
Wilson was also placed on the second team, as an outfielder. She swiped 21 bases on 21 attempts against SIAC foes during her senior campaign, and a recorded .917 fielding percentage while roaming center field for KSU.
KSU will take on No. 3 Clark Atlanta University on Wednesday at noon in the opening round of the SIAC tournament in Augusta, Georgia.
