Kentucky Soccer Begins C-USA Tournament Wednesday v Marshall

The Kentucky men’s soccer team will commence the postseason at 4:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday when they play Marshall in the first round of the Conference USA Tournament, this year taking place at the Old Dominion Soccer Complex.
Kentucky (8-5-4, 4-2-2 Conference USA) is the No. 3 seed, while Marshall is seeded sixth.
The match will be streamed live on the CUSA.TV paid subscription service. ODU will publish a live statistics feed on its Website.
Seven teams qualify for the C-USA Tournament with regular-season champion Florida International the recipient of a first-round bye.
The winner of the UK v Marshall match will play the winner of Wednesday’s ODU v South Carolina match in the semifinal round on Friday. FIU will play the winner of Charlotte v South Carolina.
The setup
Marshall defeated Kentucky last month in Huntington, West Virginia by a 1-0 score line. The Thundering Herd enter Wednesday with a record of 7-9-1 (3-5-0 C-USA).
Following a three-match losing streak – the second game in that run was at Marshall – Kentucky is now unbeaten in its last three matches, including two straight C-USA draws.
Kentucky has allowed 16 goals this season. UK allowed 16 goals in the whole of 2016, and 13 all of 2015.
Kentucky is 3-3-2 in road matches this year.
Facusse finished the regular season with the C-USA best goals-against average overall (0.88) and in league games (0.71).
He also tied for most shutouts in league play with four and overall with seven.
