The No. 7/5 Louisville women’s basketball team is going on the road for the first time this season as they travel south to take on RV/RV Belmont in Nashville. Sunday’s tilt will close out the first week of the season as the Cardinals will play three games in six days. The Cardinals are 2-0 to begin the season with home wins over Cincinnati and IUPUI.

In the win over IUPUI on Thursday, the Cardinals had four players in double figures with Chrislyn Carr leading the way with a team-high 15 points and five assists. Hailey Van Lith had 12 points and 10 rebounds for her second career double-double. With the win over IUPUI, Louisville won its 20th-straight game at home, a streak that dates back to the 2020-21 season. The Cardinals eclipsed 70 points for the second time this season over IUPUI and they have won 63-straight games when scoring 70 points or more.

As the Cardinals hit the road for the first time this season, they have been one of the best teams in road games since the beginning of the 2017-18 season. Louisville is 52-7 (.881) in road games over the past six seasons and rank second in the NCAA in road wins and winning percentage over that time. This will be the first of five true road games for the Cardinals during their non-conference schedule. Louisville is one of two teams (South Carolina) ranked in the Top-10 of the Preseason AP poll that will play five or more road games in non-conference play.
