Under the guidance of fifth-year head coach Lonnie Greene, the Kentucky Wildcat track and field squad began their indoor season with a bang, winning 16 individual events at the Commonwealth College Opener on December 4 in Louisville. Keaton Daniel and Josh Sobota set school records for the men’s team in the pole vault and shot put respectively. Masai Russell led the women with two individual victories in the 200-meter dash and 60m hurdles and was also part of the winning 4×400 relay team.

With the season off to a strong start, the Kentucky Wildcat track and field squad will look to keep the wins coming at the Rod McCravy Memorial Meet and make a name for themselves on the national stage.
