Thomas More MBB Reid Jolly Named on Top-50 Watch List for Bevo Francis Award

Reid Jolly, the redshirt-junior from Campbell County, Kentucky, has been named on the Top-50 watch list for the Bevo Francis Award. This award goes to the player who has had the best year in small college basketball and features players from NCAA Division II and III, the NAIA, USCAA Division I and II, and NCCAA Division I and II. The Top-25 players on the list will be announced on March 15th.

Jolly has been an outstanding player for the Saints this season, scoring 450 points, which is the second most in the Mid-South Conference. He currently has 1,762 career points and needs 44 points to surpass his former teammate Ryan Batte for third on the program’s all-time scoring list.

Jolly has made 182 shots this season, which leads the MSC, and is shooting 47.6% from the field. He also leads the Saints with 153 rebounds, which is seventh in the MSC, and is just 10 rebounds away from landing a spot on the Top-10 career rebounds list. He is third on the team in both steals (16) and blocks (9), and has dished out 42 assists.

In addition, Jolly has scored in double digits in all but three games this season and has scored 20 or more points in 10 games and 30 or more in one game. He also has six double-doubles to his name.

The Saints will face the Shawnee State Bears tonight in the Connor Convocation Center, with Jolly and his teammates looking to secure their 21st win of the season. With his impressive season thus far, Jolly has put himself in contention for the Bevo Francis Award and will eagerly await the Top-25 announcement on March 15th.
