Faith Bostick Secures 100m Dash Victory, Teliyah James Finishes Runner-Up

Murray State track and field athletes closed out the day at Eastern Kentucky University with notable performances, particularly from Faith Bostick who won the 100m dash. Bostick’s victory was highlighted by her impressive time of 11.43 seconds, placing her as the fourth fastest in Racers’ history and securing her spot as second in the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC).

Teliyah James trailed closely behind Bostick, finishing as the runner-up with a time of 11.44 seconds. James’ performance now ranks as the fifth fastest in the school’s history and third in the MVC. Head coach Adam Kiesler commended the efforts of both athletes, stating, “Faith and Teliyah led the way with PRs, but everyone else stepped up as well to make it a very successful event.”

The Racers demonstrated their strength in the 100m dash, with six runners finishing in the top seven. Coach Kiesler expressed satisfaction with the team’s progress, noting, “When you are late in the season like we are, you want to start seeing big improvements, and today we got that.”

Brooke Probst also had a standout performance, achieving her first collegiate win with a 1.65m mark in the high jump. The Racers will aim to continue their successful run in tomorrow’s events, building on the momentum established by their impressive performances today.
