Alexis Glasco Joins Kentucky Track & Field as a Distinguished Transfer

In an exciting announcement from the Kentucky Athletics Communications, it was revealed that Kentucky Track and Field (UKTF) has secured the signing of All-American transfer Alexis Glasco for the 2023-24 season. This revelation emphasizes the University of Kentucky’s commitment to bolstering their roster with elite talent.

Alexis Glasco, an illustrious junior hurdler, hails from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She previously showcased her talents for two seasons at Coastal Carolina before deciding to make a move. Glasco’s accomplishments with the Chanticleers are numerous, having competed in a range of events including the 60-meter hurdles, 100-meter dash, 100-meter hurdles, 400-meter hurdles, as well as both the 4×100 and 4×400 relays.

Her accolades are impressive. During her stint in South Carolina, Glasco not only bagged the title of a three-time All-American but also clinched the All-Sun Belt First Team selection. Her prowess on the track is evident, with her being crowned a four-time Sun Belt Champion. Most notably, Glasco recently secured 6th place in the 100-meters hurdles at the 2023 NCAA Division I Track and Field Championships, boasting a personal best of 11.29 (0.9) in the event.

Before gracing the collegiate track and field, Glasco had already made her mark in high school. A former student of St. Thomas Aquinas, she steered her team to clinch three consecutive state championship titles. Her high school accolades were capped by a stellar performance at the 2021 FHSAA Class 4A Track & Field State Championships, where she won the 300-meter hurdles with an impressive time of 41.58.
