In a proud announcement on Wednesday, the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) recognized four student-athletes from Kentucky men’s golf team as All-America Scholars. This prestigious acknowledgment is a testament to their exceptional performance on the course and in the classroom.

Leading the accolades was graduate Garrett Wood, who secured his third All-America Scholar award. Close on his heels were senior Alex Goff and junior Campbell Kremer, each of whom bagged their second award. Graduate Dhaivat Pandya made his debut on the list, receiving the honor for the first time.

For a student to qualify for the GCAA All-America Scholar distinction, they must be in their sophomore, junior, or senior year, both academically and athletically. Additionally, nominees should have played at least half of their team’s competitive rounds and maintain a stroke average below 76.0. Besides these athletic requisites, they should also exemplify high moral character and be in good standing at their respective college or university.

Alex Goff, who was named a Second-Team All-SEC selection and a PING All-Southeast Region pick in the past season, has been a prominent figure for the Wildcats. With an impressive 70.73 scoring average, Goff has secured five top-10 finishes and nine top-20 finishes. Remarkably, Goff’s scoring average is the best the Wildcats have seen since the 1993-94 season, surpassing J.B. Holmes’ 2003-04 All-America campaign average.

Campbell Kremer, majoring in management and finance, registered a commendable 73.67 scoring average during his junior year. Participating in all team events, Kremer’s stats include eight par-or-better rounds and 24.3 team-counted rounds.

On the other hand, Dhaivat Pandya, a master’s student in finance, managed a 74.10 scoring average across ten events. His performance included eight rounds of par-or-better and 17.5 team-counted rounds.

Rounding up the accolades was Garrett Wood, who previously earned the All-America Scholar honors in both 2020 and 2022. Boasting a 72.17 scoring average, Wood has been instrumental for the team with three top-10 finishes and five in the top 20.

As the Wildcats gear up for the 2023-24 season, they are set to commence their campaign on Sept. 4 at the Folds of Honor Collegiate, held at the American Dunes Golf Club in Grand Haven, Michigan. With such talent on display, the upcoming season promises to be an exciting one for the Kentucky men’s golf team.
