The University of Louisville volleyball team dominated the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) weekly awards, sweeping all three honors. Anna DeBeer was named Offensive Player of the Week, Elle Glock earned Setter of the Week honors, and Elena Scott shared Defensive Player of the Week with Pitt’s Emma Monks.
Anna DeBeer: Offensive Player of the Week
DeBeer led the charge for the Cardinals, recording a double-double against No. 12 Georgia Tech with 18 kills, 15 digs, three aces, and a block. She also passed 41 serves, more than double any other player on either team.
The Louisville, Kentucky, native helped No. 7 Louisville avenge their earlier loss to the Yellow Jackets, winning 3-1. DeBeer’s performance capped off an impressive awards season for the junior outside hitter, as she earned both the first and last Offensive Player of the Week awards.
Elle Glock: Setter of the Week
Glock played a crucial role in Louisville’s victory over Georgia Tech, setting up her teammates for success with 41 assists, a kill, and two aces. The Wahoo, Nebraska, native averaged 10.25 assists per set and guided the Cardinals’ offense to a .235 hitting percentage in a match that featured two deuce sets.
Elena Scott: Defensive Player of the Week
Scott shared the Defensive Player of the Week award with Pitt’s Emma Monks, continuing her stellar defensive season. Against Georgia Tech, Scott contributed 15 digs, two aces, and three assists. With her recent performance, Scott now has a total of 1,272 career digs, having recorded double-digit digs in all but two matches this season. She has notched a total of 29 digs in the last two matches against Pitt and Georgia Tech.
