Louisville Cardinals Sweep ACC Volleyball Weekly Awards

The University of Louisville volleyball team dominated the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) weekly awards, sweeping all three honors. Anna DeBeer was named Offensive Player of the Week, Elle Glock earned Setter of the Week honors, and Elena Scott shared Defensive Player of the Week with Pitt’s Emma Monks.

Anna DeBeer: Offensive Player of the Week

DeBeer led the charge for the Cardinals, recording a double-double against No. 12 Georgia Tech with 18 kills, 15 digs, three aces, and a block. She also passed 41 serves, more than double any other player on either team.

The Louisville, Kentucky, native helped No. 7 Louisville avenge their earlier loss to the Yellow Jackets, winning 3-1. DeBeer’s performance capped off an impressive awards season for the junior outside hitter, as she earned both the first and last Offensive Player of the Week awards.

The Wahoo, Nebraska, native averaged 10.25 assists per set and guided the Cardinals’ offense to a .235 hitting percentage in a match that featured two deuce sets.
