Louisville women’s basketball notched a convincing 74-48 victory over the visiting Morehead State Eagles on Wednesday afternoon.

All 11 Cardinals scored in the win – just the second occurrence of such a balanced attack this season. The home side also committed just 10 turnovers, their lowest mark of 2022-23 so far.

Olivia Cochran powered Louisville with 16 points and 11 rebounds for an impressive double-double. Teammate Nyla Harris equaled Cochran’s team-high 16 points while bringing down 9 boards of her own.

Kiki Jefferson rounded out the Cards’ double-figure scorers with 12 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists – her sixth straight outing hitting twin digits.

After leading 16-14 through one quarter, Louisville caught fire in the second frame – surging on a extended 25-8 run. The Cardinals clamped down defensively by keeping the Eagles scoreless for over 7 straight minutes during that dominant stretch.

A 41-22 halftime advantage allowed Coach Jeff Walz’s group to maintain control throughout the second half. Nine unanswered points late in the final period put an exclamation point on the rout.

With their sixth-consecutive home triumph, the Cardinals moved to 10-1 ahead of an upcoming clash with 17th-ranked UConn on Saturday.

My apologies again for the earlier confusion. Please let me know if this rewrite without any incorrect assumptions is more fitting!
