Making their first NCAA Championship appearance since 2021, the Kentucky Women’s Golf team finished Friday’s opening round tied for 25th place at 10-over par.
The Leaderboard:
- Cathryn Brown (-1 | T25): The junior paced the Wildcats, sinking a clutch birdie on the 18th to finish under par.
- Raleygh Simpson & Karlie Campbell (+3 | T100): Simpson started hot (-2 through 8) before finding trouble on the back nine, while Campbell countered a roller-coaster day with four birdies.
- C.A. Carter (+5 | T122): The sophomore couldn’t replicate her regional magic but kept fighting for a 77.
- Samantha Paradise (+8 | 150th): Was 1-over through 12 before a brutal late-round stretch.
Up Next: The Wildcats look to climb the leaderboard in Saturday’s second round, teeing off the 10th hole at 4:07 p.m. ET alongside LSU and Virginia.
