Milan Momcilovic pulled up to the postgame mic after handling business against Little Rock, and the man kept it 100 percent raw and real! 🎯🔵⚪️
No fluff, no gas, just pure veteran business from the bucket-getter:
🪣 CRASHING THE GLASS: Coach Pope almost saw Milan break his career rebounding record (tied it at 7 boards), and Milan kept it hilarious: “I’m just trying not to average three rebounds again this year!” The man is putting in work on the boards and refusing to just be a perimeter spectator.
📈 THE GRAVITY IS DEADLY: Milan let it fly 7 times from deep tonight, but he put the entire country on notice: double-digit three-point attempts EVERY SINGLE GAME is the goal! He knows teams can’t leave his hip, and that gravity is going to break defenses wide open for everyone else. Plus, he got downhill, scored in the paint, and got to the line!
🗣️ LEADING BY EXAMPLE: Asked if he’s gonna be in dudes’ faces screaming, Milan laughed it off: “I’m not a vocal leader at all. That’s Zoom Diallo. We already know who that is.” Instead, Milan is the glue guy. He’s got Power 5 stripes, double-digit scoring chops, and he’s showing the young cats how to move like pros.
🦍 BIG SHOUTOUT TO FRANK KEPNONG: Frank logged 12 huge minutes after battling through so many injuries, and Milan gave him all his flowers. “He’s a big human being. He sets a lot of great screens for me to get open.” That energy and physicality is going to feed families this year!
🧠 HIGH PRAISE FOR MASON WILLIAMS: When asked about the freshman point guard, Milan gave him ultimate props. Said Mason was the first guy he noticed walking into the program: ultra-poised, hardest worker in the gym, and moves like a 5-year vet.
Holding teams under 50 points while playing with unprecedented length? Once this squad cleans up the 19 turnovers, look out.
