Kentucky men’s golf head coach Gator Todd announced on Monday the addition of Jackson Klutznick, the 2023-24 Division III Jack Nicklaus Award winner. Klutznick, who has spent the past three seasons at Emory University in Atlanta, will head to Lexington with one season of eligibility remaining.
“We’re excited to add Jackson to the UK golf family,” Todd said. “He’s had great success at Emory the last three seasons and is looking to take his game to the next level. We expect him to make a big impact in Lexington next year.”
Klutznick’s decorated collegiate career includes winning the 2024 Nicklaus Award as the top collegiate player in Division III, being a three-time PING First Team All-American, and selection to the 2024 Arnold Palmer Cup Team to represent Team USA. He was also named University Athletic Association Player of the Year and UAA Tournament MVP after leading the Eagles to a share of the conference title this past fall.
The Denver, Colorado native posted a 71.9 scoring average this season with nine top-15 finishes and 14 rounds of par-or-better. He opened the year with an 11-shot victory at the Gate City Invitational, finishing at 16-under par, including a program-record final round of 61. At the Division III NCAA Championships in May, Klutznick set a new tournament single-round scoring record with his opening round 64 (-8), helping Emory tie for third as a team, the highest finish in program history.
For his three-year career, Klutznick boasts a 72.1 scoring average and was a three-time All-UAA First Team honoree.
Klutznick now joins Jack Schoenberger (from Belmont) as transfers added to the Kentucky men’s golf roster ahead of the 2024-25 season.
